Certifying the authenticity of our most iconic product, Bresaola della Valtellina, is the PGI mark. The Protected Geographical Indication denomination, used exclusively by certified producers in the Province of Sondrio who adhere to the strict Production Regulations, guarantees the origin of this product and, thanks to the valuable work of the Consortium for the protection of Bresaola della Valtellina, its image is promoted and safeguarded from imitations and counterfeits.

Certifications are a guarantee of origin and taste, but that's not all.

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety in fact, is one of the food safety standards recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), which guarantees that branded products are obtained according to well-defined quality standards.

The IFS Food certification also establishes an internationally recognised standard: this certifies both product quality and consumer safety, as well as certifying the goodness of the company's production processes.

To guarantee a further level of safety, it is necessary to ensure the traceability of the supply chain, thus making it possible to know the history and origin of the product, identify the responsibilities of each operator and respond to the explicit requests of the consumer. As proof of compliance with these fundamental guarantees, Mottolini boasts the ISO 22005 and UNI 11020:02 marks, applied to Bresaola La Fassona, thus ensuring the truthfulness of the breed declared on the label, always and only Piedmontese.
